thinking of getting one of those Asus EEE's but it comes with Linux installed
Never used Linux, but fancy giving it a go - I assume Newsleecher won't work with it. Where do I go from here?

Pan works. It is what I mainly use.
I also have newsrover running under WINE. I pretty much use newsrover to search what I'm looking for and then grab it with Pan.
Thunderbird does alright.
There are a couple dozen other newsclients.

I also just installed Linux, and am wondering what is the most preferred reader that Linux users use. Any suggestions? I'm not big on Newsleecher. The reader I use on windows is Alt.Binz(would this run under Wine?). So if there is something like that for linux, I would really like to know. And I use NZB sites, so the reader doesn't have to load headers.
I'm guessing maybe Pan and SABnzbd is the most liked or most used Linux users?
Thanks.
Pan is pretty much your best option if you decide not to try to run something under wine.
