Thread: utorrent 1.8 bug?

this has to be a bug, same issue with me
every so often, for no apparent reason, every single tracker (i have torrents from MULTIPLE trackers) goes red (offline) and then when you right click on it, "Update Tracker" is then disabled. I close utorrent out entirely (exit the program), re open it, and it's fine -- they all appear as online. It's gotta be a bug, and it's hella annoying..I am switching back to the old version for now because this is gay!
I would hate to not have my uploads count or something because I keep getting disconnected from the tracker.

which version are you guys using?

Latest version is: 2008-08-13: Version 1.8 (build 11813)

I'm still on 2008-08-09: Version 1.8 (build 11742 and no problems so far.

When the arrow is red, it does record, if you dont turn the client off.

If you turn off your client, then all stats will be erased.
    i like skittles.

Have you altered max half-open connections?

This can also be caused if you have your net.max_halfopen set to value other than 8, and have not patched TCPIP.SYS using the EventID 4226 Patcher" (XP SP2 and 2003 only). If you have patched it, check it again, because it gets reverted occasionally by Windows patches.
    I'm here for the chicks...

Simple solution...downgrade to v. 1.7.7 till bugs are reported fixed in v. 1.8.
Please do not randomly PM asking for invites as I have none to give out. Have a nice day.
