No shit...that's faster than your package from NY to Denver.
Did they pay for expedited shipping?
Be interesting to know what that cost...

It says "UPS saver" I thought that was their budget rate.

Sorry bud I didn't get a tracking number for your package . I think the time zones have alot to do with this one

    Even so.
That package probably still smells like jasmine and rice.

Sorry I've been busy...Still am. I took these pics a few days ago. The short version is. I was all done! Leak tested for 48 hours and was all ready to go. When I looked it over for the last time before installing the OS, I didn't like the tube routing at all. it looked cluttered and I know I can do a way better job so I drained the loops and am going back to work on it little by little. Here are some pics.

This however I am EXTREMELY happy with.

I think I'm going to do something with this

Fan filters look nice enough I think

This is the newer idea for the tube routing. I think it'll look waay cleaner than the old one.

Looks like you're going from the vid card up to the chipset...is that correct?
If so, you're probably heating up the chipset more than if it was just air/passively cooled since the vid card should be putting out more calories than the northbridge ever would.

    Just a thought.

Honestly I did think about that and I am almost convinced to just slap the old Heatsink back on and be done with it. Hey you have the same board as me right Clock? (GA-EP45-UD3R) Does your NB get hot? I don't mean warm I mean HOT. I have read it's just the way it is and that water cooling it doens't really help it all too much but I feel like I should anyway? What route would you suggest NB ->Vid card?

    Yup, same board.
I have one of these- with an 80mm fan attached- on the northbridge.

The Gigabyte supplied board sinks, as elaborate as they appear, struck me as junk.
I'm debating using the nice copper sinks you donated as sinks for the power transformers but am hesitant due to the age of the board.
It's getting to be a couple of years old now and will probably need replacing sooner rather than later, so I'm thinking I should save them for whatever comes next.

    BTW, on a different tack...
I just saw a project completed by a very talented friend and his approach to the wiring was very innovative.
Rather than sleeve the cables, he depinned them and braided everything...think Boy Scout lanyard type weaving.
It's in a clear Plexi case so everything is visible and looked very nice.
    Plus, it doesn't cost anything.
I wasn't expecting to see anything when I went over there so I didn't have a camera, but will try to get some pics next time.

I also don't like the stock heat sinks. That is so funny I actually bought and returned that NB heatsink from FCPU! It gets in the way of too much and I felt that the heat from my vid card would be sucked in to it easily heating it up as well.

Please do get some pics man sounds waay interesting. Speaking of pics, what does your rig look like these days man?

Mine is still in the TJ06- probably the most heavily modified case I've ever done.
Practically nothing is left of the original inside structure.

Although it's embarrassingly dirty, here are some current pics...

The entire front inner facia was cut out and replaced with a plexi panel which holds the rad, DVD burner, fan controller and reset button.
Due to the crap camera you'll just have to take my word on this since it's only barely visible.

    And the interior.
Note the filthy rear fan, which in all honesty is probably unnecessary anyway, but was installed to fill the stock opening.

Sitting on a shelf is the unused TJ07 and my mint condition (never been used) Apple G5 case, which I keep meaning to modify for PC use but haven't yet and probably never will.
I ought to just sell it.

I'm thinking that my next upgrade cycle- whenever that may be- will be air cooled and as simple as I can make it.
It's just a matter of time and money.
Sadly, I have more of the former than the latter.
