80 + 30 =110 gigs total. My shared files are on the 30 gig, but when I run out of room, I will put stuff on the 80 gig drive.

new comp will have 120gb. prob will add another 120 gb for my parents. they use autocad and a lot of programming stuff. so far, 120 will do.

I have a 40GB IDE 7200rpm HDD with which I have managed to use 12GB of space. I hate using lots of space, it's too hard to organise and things become unmanagable and I become careless, I like to keep things neat and tidy as the lower your HDD space the quicker Ad-aware scans, defragmentation and virus-scans perform.
