Thread: Recover Old Deleted Files

  1. #1
Would anybody have recommendations for something to recover old deleted files? An online free download would be preferred. I am certain that this subject has already been touched on but, to be honest, I am a bit lazy today and not up to the search. Besides, Id like some fresh input, as there could well be something new. Thanks

I should mention that I am using XP.

Yes! Check out PhotoRec & TestDisk. at http://www.cgsecurity.org for more information. Do not use this hard-drive or your deleted files will be ruined.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I am a bit confused though, is the "this hard drive" you mentioned a program or a function of the sofeware you referenced?

I did download PC Inspector File Recovery and though it appears to have found a lot of files I have not been able to read or view anything.
