basic point:
There, all the protagonists wind up in front of the locals, whose linguistic eccentricity ensures that all people and things are referred to as "Marklar."

I'm quite surprised JPaul hasn't popped his head in, linguistic accuracty is usually his forte. I don't really feel like arguing the point any further, if anyone else wants to step in for my side of this little debate that would be great.

Surely anybody that instills terror in another person is a terrorist? When Iraq was being attacked, I did my best to imagine what it must feel like to be an ordinary Iraqi waiting for a bomb to fall on my house, I imagined hoarding food, finding places to protect my children (where? when bombs fall from the sky?). The terror that these people felt must have been so incredibly intense, and sustained over a long period of time. How do you hold onto your sanity thru something like that?

The Americans and their allies talk in such broad impersonal terms when it comes to loss of life in Iraq. There is nothing impersonal about a small boy asking if his arms will grow back, finding out his family are all dead. How come EVERY American life is so bloody important, and every non-American so not?

I think George Bush is the scariest man on earth. He terrifies me. And he is a terrorist.

George Bush is terrifying because he weilds so much power, and doesn't appear to be bright enough to use it well. The United Nations says, no, don't do that, and Bush and his mates just go right ahead. They are all scary (men who desire power) but Bush, Blair and Howard (yeah, we know, who the f**k is Howard?) drag us along against our will. They pay NO attention to any rules or conventions, they just get in there in their jackboots and go for it.

My point is that it's always the innocent that suffer, and that can't be justified. Look at the mess in Iraq right now.

Why are you arguing about the definition of a word anyway? Words are twisted at will. Look at the actions.

lol as ilw i am going to pull back, my debate was with him plus i've pretty much run out of things to say and am begining to repeat my self, arguing about a word is just as good a thing as any to argue about.

    Yes.

The others you KNOW are bastards....you dont expect better/civilised behaviour from them.

Bush is SUPPOSED to be a statesman, head of state of the most powerful nation on earth, land of the "Free" etc etc etc........you dont expect him to be a blatant uncivilised bastard..

(bearing in mind, that to get where they are, the leaders of most countries are by nature; egocentric, amoral little shits )

Well I'll be damned if I'm going to be an apologist for Dubya...I'll leave that to someone (J2?) who actually likes the guy.

It's good to see things getting back to normal again.

Everyone was so calm and polite this past week, it was eerie.

    Back to the brass knuckles.

    Ah, home.
