Thread: Using Ip To Connect

  1. #1
Does anyone know how to, (or know where the old link is with the info) connect to a buddy using an IP, for the purpose or trading files? The was covered in the past but cant find the old link. I think Balaam posted it.

First of all, your friend needs to find his/her IP address. Do this via a service found here. Then via your web browser, type in their IP address, followed by a colon (:) and then the port number (s)he is connected to KaZaA via. Find this in Tools -> Options -> Firewall. So here's an example: http://255.255.255.255:1196.

Now choose a file you wish to download from your friend's download selection, click it (make sure yours and your friend's KaZaA is running&#33 and check your Downloads window and it'll be like normally downloading fromn KaZaA.

    Good luck.
