cool keep it coming, this is interesting!
Thx guys
By the way, it would be nice if you mentioned why you would prefere a FTP account over other alternatives. Is it the because you want it really fast or because it feels safer, or something else?

JuuanJohnny: Cool, I am glad to hear that someone recommended dc++.
I have noticed that it seems as in the end there are only three really popular filesharing communities with a future.
1. The private FTP servers and websites where it seems most 0days stuff are originally released.
2. The bittorrent scene with private and public trackers. The good private trackers have the absolute latest 0days stuff but can be tricky to get in to as they use invites and those are often very limited.
3. The Direct Connect community that has thousand of public hubs but also some really great private rar (and not rar) hubs. The nice thing with the DC community is that people are chatty and there is an IRC like hierarchy of admins and moderators. They monitor what is shared and peoples behavior. People from all over the world meet and chat. Really nice.
Then you have a wide range of programs like Limewire and similar that seem to be popular as well, but they have in common that it is less controlled what is shared, something that indirect means that you are more likely to find fakes or viruses etc.
pone44: to find ebooks I would give Direct Connect a try. You can go to this site for example for some info: www.dcforge.com
I also find DC to be very good for music, specially tunes that can be hard to find in other places. Older tunes and such, this as people often share their old cd collections and similar.
The absolute best place for new movies is in my opinion the better private torrent trackers, although Im not mentioning any by name, if you are there you know what I mean
0days music would surely be best on a private FTP server, there are those that specialise in a certain kind of music, or just the latest stuff in general. But to become a member on a private FTP site can be tricky.
Programs are always dodgy to download if one expects to use some crack or similar. There are many infected on public places, and many not infected still signalled to be so because of they way they are coded and the type of programs used when creating them. Best bet is to get it from "a source you trust". If you want 0days releases best is FTP or Private tracker.
Personally I find that a combination of all three is the best
So keep telling me what you prefere to download, its interesting mates
Thx
