    Hi everyone.

I'm using a dedicated server ordered directly from ovh and it seems to be limited to ~4 MB/s upload. The download works fine around 10 or 11 MB/s.

Well, this could be perfectly normal if i havent already used the exact same provider and plan (Kimsufi L) with seedhost.eu where i could always get regular 10 MB/s upload speeds and really fast peer connections.

I suppose i installed everything right according to NaQ's guide (updates, utorrent, wine, etc).

I tried Windows Server 2003, Ubuntu and i am now using Debian 4.0 (Etch).

Any ideia why this happens and what i might be doing wrong ?

    Thanks in advance. :-)

Governments of the Industrial World, you weary giants of flesh and steel, I come from Cyberspace, the new home of Mind. On behalf of the future, I ask you of the past to leave us alone. You are not welcome among us. You have no sovereignty where we gather [...] I declare the global social space we are building to be naturally independent of the tyrannies you seek to impose on us.

I'm sure it's just the torrents that you jumping on.
If ovh found that you were downloading p2p they would sent a letter to stop it.

I'm in the same boat as the OP... hard to max connection speed once I purchased a dedicated server... but previously was easy to max....

OVH is definitely not throttling/blocking torrent traffic.

they only do when they receive a complaint, not otherwise. Stick to private trackers coz more or less they r like ovh internal network. Most people have boxes so its like internal peering and pretty fast indeed.

Maybe you have lost the SLA Mode, check it on your manager.
