the main problem is that there are two phones on the one jack
this would mean that on the temp setup there would have to be another 15m phone extension cable back to the first phone's position (at the jack)

is the other phone located right at the jack, or a litle bit away?

edit: also could u not do the premanent one with a 15m phone extension insted of rj11, or is the plug on the microfilter different to a phone plug. rj11?

i was gonna say could u get another filter, and a splitter at the jack and put the filter in there, but it would be easyer that way

the filter has got a bt phone port and an rj11 port

thats what i was trying to say in my post lynx, but i thought it mighta been to much hassle at the jack end,
