Every one uses RS....
SSL encrypts the traffic between your computer and the news hosting provider.
If your ISP sneaks up on you, this makes it more difficult for them to see what you do.
Usenet was designed to be a message board, and the messages can expire.
They have to or the storage space would be insufficient. The more days, the longer files are kept before deletion.
so the files are nzb? or i got this totally wrong?
Rapidshare is pretty good for me. After getting three copyright infringement notices because of torrents, I've pretty much written them off for good. I have to pay for Rapidshare but it's well worth it and much quicker than torrents. I guess the only other alternative is Newsgroups, and one has to pay for that too.
I've never gotten in with a private tracker so that's probably why my experiences with torrents have been less than stellar. Do people using private trackers ever get copyright infringement notices?
DISPLAY thy Breasts, My Julia!
Not usually(although it has happened). If you're just into the usual 0day/general type of content, then I highly recommend just staying with RS, or even getting yourself a newsgroup account. Torrenting is less secure, and it's more work(seeding your files, constantly keep a good ratio) than the other two methods.
