Thread: New James Bond movie-Quantum of Solace

    There was practically no hype, and the movie went unnoticed. And release dates are completely jumbled..

    Yeah, it was the single biggest grossing film in one weekend ever in the UK.

    Just think what would have happened if people actually knew about it.

    Bond films always get a UK release first being as he's a British institution and all.

    I have no clue about the merkin release dates.

    November 14th. Haha, just read a bit on Craig's Bond vs. others: http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/filmb...ntum-of-solace

    He is more like a hitman than a spy, but anyways...It's still a good series. I thought the older movies played out more like a t.v. show.

    I actually did start reading Fleming's Bond books awhile back and was pleasantly surprised that they were more realistic. I've read up to From Russia with Love and so far Moonraker is my favorite. Ian Fleming tops my favs.

    You Limeys make good writers and what-not.

    I've seen American TV, it's nothing like a Bond movie.

    American and British TV are the staple shaytes of this day and age.

    True storays.

    In fact, both are quite acceptable. The British have their own select brand of humor, and the French their own special croissants
