I rarely talk about Spain.
No particular reason, it just doesn't come up often.

But it is not about geography, here is about everything, ignorance runs rampant and the problem is not the students, teachers don't know either.
Maybe most of the people know who Obama is, because it has been in every tv channel, but most don't know who the vice president elect is.
Lets put it this way, in the US, people start paying taxes when they start making $45 thousand a year, four years ago people in social security income (disabled) getting around nine thousand dollars a year, voted for bush because he was going to cut taxes.
Others voted for him because he was against abortion, how ignorant is that?
In every country with a dictatorship, governants always thrive in the people's ignorance, and the republicans are not exception, our freedoms shrinked so much in the last eight years.
I said it as an example, people here don't have a clue about anything at all, ignorance prevents people from knowledge and we are so used to hear english only, that ignorance is at every lever of society here.
Evil thrives when good people do nothing, and without knowledge, we can't fight for our rights, we can't have normal conversations, we can't do nothing.
"Researchers have already cast much darkness on the subject, and if they continue their investigations, we shall soon know nothing at all about it."
