Thread: Movie Wont Play

    Its never happened b4 to me. I dl'd a movie from BT and it doesnt work. G spot says i have all the codecs but it wont render under the direct show thing and it also says the file is "truncated" 128 bytes are missing. Wutever that means. So am i hooped? Cant play it? Any suggestions

    If I was u I would just try to download a different copy.

    the only other copy i found was on k-lite. But it looks horrible like used vhs quality. The cable guy is wut i Dl'd.

    try using videolan it is the easyiest and most reliable
    ps gre1 is it you who put boyz n the hood on supernova???

    Sounds like it corrupt, and theres nothing that can be done about that. Just download a new copy or buy.

    Ok well it plays in videolan Gary thx But now wut do i do. I want to put it on vcd. I tried to with tmpge but it wouldnt let me

    if the file is avi currently, try this

    you could try to load it into virtualdub and cut out the missing part of the file,I had to do that with the jap version of the ring as it would&#39;nt play even though gspot said that i had multiple codecs that would play it.
    Give it a go, what have you got to lose? only takes minutes to download unless you already have it.
    its included in the programme called gordians knot which is a dvd to avi ripper prog.
