Thats the new i7 platform, you need a new Mobo and DDR3 ram for it. the cheapest setup fot this CPU I could find is around $900 us. but it isn't worth it yet really.

don't go i7 yet, and about the CPU it was just to compare since he wanted an extreme chip, i guessed i would show him the possibilities .

ps: IMO i7 was mainly meant for advanced servers, not for common users. the pros are that it can hyper thread though, but still not worth it.

yerr, ya don't want that one lol. Well not yet anyways. like detale said it requires a new type of mobo and ram which both are still rather expensive.

i don't know , after all i think there must be better species i can get , i think the money was the problem , so here is my whole budget for the following parts , it's 1350 euro :
CPU , HDD , ddram , mother board , and vga card .


i'm satisfied with cpu and mother board , but i think i can get a better VGA card , so pls get me the last parts ( ddram, vga card and hdd 1 TB ) with my budget , this is the source i buy my pc from here .

these are good for me :

Asus Rampage Formula

but there is no 260 gtx vga card in that site , so i will jumb for another one and i hope i can get a better one with this new budget .

i have only a week to make my last choice , and it must be good cause i'm not thinking about buying another in the near future .

I know my opinion on here don't count worth swat but I have a site that I use as a rule for helping people buy or build systems .

Is it a gamer or just a all around system for e-mail , browsing and schoul projets etc. ?

A link is here for an idea of a config that may work . The p4 or Amd Power system gives you a goal for say under $ 600 cdn .
