Remember chaps, If you are gonna be cleaning the registry to always back it up.
I can remember a friend recently stuck on some great reg cleaner he found that got rid of hundreds of problems it found and he was, wow this is a great program.
Then he rebooted and got the NTLdr not found message
And i had to show him how to reboot his dead PC.
Even though some programs find stuff, some..not all are attached to other running programs.
PAIN is just WEAKNESS leaving the body

This is very true, a few years ago I tried the program evidence eliminator and I had it (clean/fix the registry with the default settings) on my computer and it made it crash

Even though I don't use evidence eliminator anymore I haven't used the (clean/fix registry function in any clean up programs since just because of my experience with ee)

I don't know if it would work ok with Ace Utilities to use the (clean/fix registry function) because I never tried it will Ace Utilities, although I use the overwrite free space function in Ace Utilities and it hasn't caused any problems yet

I also use the clean up usage tracks function with Ace Utilities

CCleaner is good for usage tracks as well

Yeah i've used spinrite a few times. If you have a HDD on its last legs spinrite will fix it, Takes a long time doing it though but its better than buying a new one.

Cant forget to defrag after downloading tons of gigs of content. I found that O&O defrag is pretty good especially when doing alot of things it has a stealth mode that uses less resources to defrag, but it also has 4 other modes for defraging.
