It'll tell ya to do what your supposed to do with a new hard drive. Put in a windows 98 startup disk which you can get from bootdisk.com if you don't already have one and boot. When it gets to the a: prompt, type fdisk and enter. select yes to everything and when it's done reboot. Now you either format for win9x with the startup disk, or you boot from CD with a bootable XP CD and format to NTFS. When it's done, install your OS clean and new. Just like a pro.
This sounds like a lotta work and a big risk to take since I still consider myself as a comp nOOb.
But me will bookie this, and read and try once I get DVD burner to save my current files to a DVD.
Thank you all for your help. Really appreciated.![]()
