Opened in 1869 as a cross-denominational burial ground for the people of Belfast, its one of the oldest with 250,000 people buried. An underground wall separates the Catholic and Protestant sides just as the entrance gates were designed.

Yep, I know that cemetery very well indeed. I lived right beside it for my formative years. Got drunk in it on more than a few occasions, like.

About half a mile up the road, there's the Milltown cemetery. The one where Michael Stone shot mourners and lobbed grenades at them. It's funded by the Catholic Church and it's like a fucking jungle. Graves defaced, undergrowth everywhere. The City Cemetery by comparison is funded by the council and is well nigh immaculate (as graveyards go).

An underground wall is a good measure, like. Imagine there was a mudslide or something else. I wouldn't want no hun fucker decomposing in my general vicinity for eternity.

I have, mate. I do indeed remember the thing. However I'm fucked if I can remember where I got the link from.
