    Unsure

    Looking at Dell's XPS 630.

Probably goin' to go quad-core @ 2.40 Ghz since that'll stack, 4 GB RAM, with Dual nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512MB (stack again), but I'm not sure about the harddrive.

    300GB WD Velociraptor 10K RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 16MB Cache [add $250 or $7/month1]
    500GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache [Included in Price]
    750GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache [add $100 or $3/month1]
    500GB Data Security RAID 1 (2 x 500GB SATA 3Gb/s 7200 RPM HDDs) [add $150 or $4/month1]
    1TB Data Security RAID 1 (2 x 1TB SATA 3Gb/s 7200 RPM HDDs) [add $500 or $15/month1]
    500GB Performance RAID 0 (2 x 250GB SATA 3Gb/s 7200 RPM HDDs) [add $50 or $1/month1]
    600GB Performance RAID 0 (2x300GB WD Velociraptor 10K RPM HDDs) [add $550 or $16/month1]
    1TB Performance RAID 0 (2 x 500GB SATA 3Gb/s 7200 RPM HDDs) [add $150 or $4/month1]

Speed and Size Really Do Matter640GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™ [add $50 or $1/month1]
Any ya'll gots any advice ? Does 2 x 500 GB SATA mean that it's actually two seperate harddrives?

    E8400, E8500, E8600
    which one is better?
I read somewhere and they recommend E8400. it won 2 or 3 customer choice award

The early 8400's were overclocking monsters, easily hitting 4GHz without extreme voltage or cooling.
Later steppings are more hit or miss but still an almost guaranteed 3.6GHz.

There is no difference tween the 3 chips other than stock speed and I suspect that they are just binned brothers under the skin.
Probably go with the 8500- it's only $20 more than the 8400 and may clock a bit better.
The 8600 is way too expensive for what it is- at it's price point I'd start looking at quads.

Yeah man 2x500 means 2 500GB HDD's but it's in Raid 1 meaning what is written to one HD is automatically written to the other as a backup so it's only 500Gb total. Not sure what data burst cache it tho I would not recommend a Dell. You can get a better cheaper rig other places, better yet build you own man, it's way easy and we could coach you through it no prob
At the current specs this is over $1600 US DUDE don't pay that much. you can get the same system for around $1000 Thats a $600 + difference man!!!

Here is how I figured the parts in like 5 min.

    1
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor

    GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P ATX Intel Motherboard
    Item #:N82E16813128358
Return Policy: Limited 30-Day Return Policy

Antec Nine Hundred Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
    Item #:N82E16811129021
Return Policy: Limited 30-Day Return Policy
    -$30.00 Instant
    $139.99
    $109.991

    G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1000 (PC2 8000) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory
    Item #:N82E16820231145
Return Policy: Limited Non-Refundable 30-Day Return Policy
    -$10.00 Instant
    $64.99
    $54.99

    Grand Total:

Now you could always play around with the Case and the Mobo, or even get a faster CPU for the money you're looking to spend. Think about it man
