i was just thinking about this very thing
with 56k, it's not exactly hard to max the connection, however, with up to 10x more bandwidth available, i'm gonna be hard pushed to max it (outwith servers anyway), so i'll need to complain sometime...

@Neverose, it's brilliant not having to wait up to 5 seconds to load a page. that'd be the main thing i'm noticing now
i'll need to go and dl something to make sure it's working correctly now...

I remember when i first got broadband, i lifted the modem out of its cradle with a little tear in my eye, at that moment i knew what it was like to have a son of my own, i gave it a little kiss, plugged it into my PC, got everything ready, braught a priest around to cristen little jonny modem, i turned my PC on and was overwhelmed with emotion as i, for the first time, downloaded a mp3 in 2 mins...
I get all teary thinking about it.... psshh and they make a fuss about birth.. blaaa the day i got broadband was the best day of my life

3Gen.......you will love the dl time. The first time I downloaded some program, I thought that it just couldn&#39;t be real. Surely I didn&#39;t really already get it&#33;&#33;&#33;

Now which ISP did you choose? If you ended up getting Comcast then you have more to be excited about then just getting broadband - Comcast will be offering
3 mb/sec end of this year for their standard package.

i&#39;m in the uk, so i&#39;m not sure of the support for comcast
there is a british isp called Bulldog adsl which offers 6Mb/sec for £99.99 per month though

just queued up a simpsons episode there, approx 230MB
apparently it&#39;s gonna take 1 hour 10 minutes...would have taken over half a day on 56k
