    That Bulldog sounds great, until you realise it is only available in Central London, and the 6mbps service is 6pm to 8am, otherwise is is the standard 512kbps. And upstream speed is only 400kbps at best. Then there is the £50 connection charge. And an extra £2 per month for static IP address.
    And there is VAT at 17.5% to go on top of all that.

    All of a sudden it doesn't sound quite so good.

    it did sound too good to be true
    i suppose the only way i'm gonna get a faster conection for nothing would be to use a laptop on the uni's wireless t3, however, that sounds a little dodgy...

    Have you tried for an alternative path check so you can get off the rim, it takes about four weeks(telstra timing lol) and doesnt cost a cent, you just tell the isp your on a rim and that you require an alternative path check.
