Me First and the Gimme Gimmes Live In A Dive Out: Summer 2004

In the early spring punk-rock-all-star-karaoke-band Me First And The Gimme Gimmes will record their contribution to the Fat Wreck Chords "Live in a dive"- series. The album will feature all your favourite MFATGG´s covers, and will be engineered/produced by (surprise, surprise&#33 Ryan Greene who has also done all of their studio albums. The album should be done by the summer of 2004 (not official, just assumption)

new punk coming out? You betcha!

December 02 Offspring Splinter
Multi-platinum Sony artists THE OFFSPRING are recording their new disc with producer BRENDAN O'BRIEN in Los Angeles. The album is titled 'CHINESE DEMOCRACY', which also happens to be the title of the long-awaited GUNS N ROSES album, currently in limbo. When reached for comment, The Offspring's front man/vocalist, DEXTER HOLLAND, said "You snooze, you lose." Holland further added, "AXL [ROSE] ripped-off my braids, so I ripped-off his album title." 'Chinese Democracy', The Offspring's seventh album, is scheduled for release in early summer. It follows CONSPIRACY OF ONE, also produced by O'Brien. Title has been changed to Splinter after Axl rose threatened with legal charges. Ain't that a bummer ...
January 04 Crime In Stereo Explosives And The Will To Use Them
Besides releasing a split with Kill Your Idols around October 2003, this band recorded a full-length produced by Arik Victor. Get a full dose of their hardcore sound reminiscent of the glory days of Gorilla Biscuits, Token Entry, & 7Seconds.
January 13 Mr. T Experience Yesterday Rules
MTX (known by the long-form The Mr T Experience) has been a pop-punk powerhouse since their 1986 self-released debut album, Everyone's Entitled To Their Own Opinion. For their tenth(&#33 studio album the band, led by eminently witty and talented Doctor Frank, have once again teamed up with producer Kevin Army (Operation Ivy, Sweet Baby) because if it isn't broke, don't fix it. The resulting album, "Yesterday Rules" is a whip-smart 13 song pop-punk affair. This is the band's first new full-length since 1999's "Alcatraz" and marks the debut of new members Bobby on bass and Ted on second guitar and keyboards. Fans of MTX and fans of great melodic punk rock will love "Yesterday Rules." This album contains a crafted mix of fast pop-punk songs, melodic mid-tempo rock-pop, a ballad or two and a few surprises. "Yesterday Rules" is the first MTX album to include special enhanced materials. The bonus features are available to fans when they put the CD in the CD-ROM drive of their PC or Mac. These materials include a special website with behind-the-scenes text, photos and video footage from the making of "Yesterday Rules," links to other exclusive MTX content on the web, tour dates, special offers on MTX merchandise and more - all only accessible to those who buy the CD.
Early 2004 Alkaline Trio / One Man Army Split CD Better Youth Organisation
In a recent interview for Roel's radioshow "Punkhour", Shawn Stern has revealed future plans for the next episode in BYO's split series. Bands involved are no other than Alkaline Trio and One Man Army. Recordings should start in September 2003, a release is expected early 2004.

Early 2004 Casualties, The On The Front Line Side One Dummy
After having played 15 dates with Bad Religion in May 2003, The Casualties focused on recording their follow-up to last year's "Die Hards' in Summer. This new album is produced by Bill Stevenson. The Casualties will be hitting the road as soon as they finish recording. They will join the Dropkick Murphys as the main support for their fall tour! The tour starts on Oct.9 in Norfolk, VA...

February 04 Off The Record Nothing New (cdep) New School
Ryan Greene (The "king" of punk producing) produced their new EP, with a tenative street date of February 4th, 2004! Looks like it's going to be an enhanced cdep. It will feature a video, tour footage, behind the seen junk, and interviews. You can check out an mp3 of the new song "Losers Never Win" through their page at mp3.com.
February 10 Madcap Under Suspicion Victory
California's Madcap will record "Under Suspicion" October and November. "Captain" Tedd Hutt produces Madcap for the second time, he is best known for his work on Flogging Molly's "Drunken Lullabies". Tracking commences at EMG Studios in North Hollywood, and there are several secret guest stars planned as well. Madcap are prolific songwriters - the title track is a creepy tale about a private eye. "We've written 19 songs, but we're choosing the best of them to go on the album,” explained vocalist Johnny.

February 2004 Subhumans Live in a Dive Fat Wreck Chords
The fifth installment in Fat's Live In A Dive series will feature the acidic sounds of the U.K.'s Subhumans. The band is reuniting for a big world tour and Fat Mike has been a long-time fan of the band and his very first stagedive took place during their L.A. show back in '83. At any rate, the Subhumans will be touring both Europe and the U.S. in the Spring, so go to Citizen Fish's (the current band) site for more info.
February 2004 Descendents tba (cdep) Fat Wreck Chords
