adster, have you tried downloading a "bandwidth manager"(not sure of the correct term) its a program which lets you set the amount of bandwidth to certain programs. limiting slsk to a certain amount allows you to kepp some for sufing dude.

    p.s. come back!

p.s.s celery if i could view your files i would.

You don't need a bandwidth manager. SoulSeek allows you to restrict the upload speed so that you have bandwidth for surfing. Though, this program requires tons of resources, so I'll eventually be giving it up to serve on IRC only.

Well, my plan is to have a private IRC channel, for broadband users on this forum. Celery, Spiderdude, and a few other fast connects will be able jump right in and download. My speeds are much faster on IRC. I send at 25KB to 45KB depending on the user. That way I can hit them off with the new stuff, without waiting in que. Then there will be multiple sources available for download in our SoulSeek room. Don't worry FC, I won't abandon you guys.

Unless of course, you can find me someone on an EDU connection. Then we could create a dump, and I can just FTP the files to it.
