Well it's not a movie, but I think the serie "OZ" gives a good view of violence. Great show.

Man Bites Dog is a French, fly-on-the-wall spoof about a serial killer being followed around by a camera crew.
Very sick indeed but it's a novel look at violence.
There is one film i seen in the eighties called Bronx Warriors its in two parts and a very violent film ne1 else seen that film
Aussie film called "ROMPER STOMPER"
Kiwi film called "ONCE WERE WARRIORS" and sequel called
"WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED"............
"Irreversible" a French movie. quite violent at some times.
