    I like VSO's ConvertxToDvd... it seems to be a little more "complex" in use than winavi, but offers more flexibility, such as custom titles, screens, backgrounds, music, chapters, etc.

    convertxtodvd is the best. no doubt about it.

    Will try convertxtodvd i was using dvdsanta but kept playing up.

    Some more good ones, FAVC is my personal favorite, plus it comes in a 64 bit flavor if you have the OS to support it, and supports dual core:

    My second choice would have to be DVD Flick:

    Plus they are both freeware

    Oh, I used to use winavi alot. But more recently I just let Nero do it. It works pretty well now.
