Thanks for clearing that up. He will be verified when I get a chance and I will ask him if he wishes to be put on the staff list or not. Honestly I think my acct is disabled due to inactivity but I'll find out tommorrow.

As far as my rational rationale goes dude you're arguing semantics and my point was clear. If its torrent related or not the name is the same and to ask someone to give up their name for someone "more important" is absurd ( no offense M4rduk but no one here is more important than the next guy)

I am not going to Pm anyone asking that they give up there name, Feel free to ask him yourself though. You are suggesting harrasment by "letting him know" what are we the gestapo? I appreciate the points made but I think this is one of those times when moderating where less is more I feel like this is all blown out of proportion. Again I thank the OP for letting us know but it really doesn't need to go any further Than that. The guy isn't active if he were more active maybe my opinion would be different but 2 posts....5 months not a threat and he hasn't broken any rules. Think abot this you know that I am all about the members, but I'm not going to infringe on someone because his nick is inconveinent and possibly a problem.

I don't want to be on the staff list - I only registered so I could make this one thread. Plus, I already had an account here with comm staff and Reality put it on Disabled Privs ages ago because a few traders got disabled that happened to also be members here...lol.

I also don't necessarily want the nick "M4rduK" here (the only reason I would want it is to stop someone else from using it).

I made my point - I just wanted to let people know. If anyone is still dumb enough to give their info to someone (anyone) on another site, then they really deserve to loose their account tbh...

I never understand the mentality of FST though. If someone on a site that I staff at was impersonating someone else (even just using their unique name), I would make them change it *to protect the users on my site*. It would have nothing to do with protecting some guy's name. To reiterate - I don't at all think that "I'm important" and my name should be reserved for me! I think that a site should do what it can to protect it's users from harm.

I dont know what to believe or whos name is who,nor do I really care, but before this thread 75% of the users had no clue who M4rduk was, and now this thread has made them aware, actually making "impersonating" someone else potentially easier to do.

and hmm how will that exactly help in a case like this, where most staff of trackers are not on here, or are on here in a different name, but someone that is not staff, signs up here in the staffs names, and then members from that tracker PM him, thinking he is the real "insert name of tracker staff" here.

and i thought comm reps were supposed to help members, surely blocking PMs is the opposite of that?
