Other than another PCI clot on the "P" model I cant seem to see it.

Considering I only have about $250 to spend I think Im goiing to wait on the PSU and use the 620HX I have. JG forums are so hard to navigate when I'm looking for a decent reasonably priced PSU.

Clocker do you have any idea what the minimum watts I would need are. This one was 500 watts and it lasted me about 4 years or so,helping out when it was needed, but now I have that fancy vid card in there so I'm not sure.
Well Im ordering the "R" model since its a little cheaper and I don't need a second PCIX8 slot or two Ethernet ports either so there I go.

Now I need a good recommendation for a PSU around $100 if anyone has a suggestion, Thanks

EDIT: After searching JG for a while I think I may go with this Hiper Type M 630W it got a 9 from JG and is only $95 and It's Modular really good deal IMHO Also I see they have a HIPER Type M II HPU-5M730 730W for only $99. Now JG hasn't reviewed this exact model but all the other Hiper products have a 9 out of 10 rating so do you guys think it's safe to assume its a good PSU? again it's modular 730W and only $99. My problem is that if it seems too good to be tru then....

What do you boys think I should do?

Ryan are you saying you have the Corsair or the Coolmax in your server?

Thanks I may just get the corsair instead I have the 620HX and love itBTW I though it was modular turns out its not

Also as a personal update as to how the new year is starting out I went to move my car today only to find someone had smashed in my front passenger side door and must have just left again I say MOTHER F*CKER. Ok it's not too bad, the door opens and the window works fine but it looks like crap. Then my driverside headlght is out as well and I get a ticket for it. This will not be my year I can tell already 8 days in and I'm going to murder someone

I don't doubt it was you

OK so I spent all last night taking everything apart and installing my new Mobo and PSU, rewiring everything all nice and neat, you know making a project out of it . One of the cheapo plastic clips on my Scythe mini Ninja broke off and I don't even have a stock Intel cooler around to swipe one of the pieces from so I just grabbed my Enzotech extreme X and it just barely fits, Thank god. Also I changed the fans to put some new ones in there (I had some laying around)

Now I did a fresh install of Win7 all was going great no issuses or anything. Installed whatever programs I wanted,Checked all my temps. I OC'd the 8400 to 3.6 on stock voltage without a hitch, ran occp for two hours, all checked out. All was good so I decide to stop and get some sleep at 7AM.

I get up at around 11AM to find the computer off but the power light was on. "Oh shit". Nothing is working I try restarting...notyhing. I figure let me reset the bios and see if that works. I take the cover off of the top and jesus the heat coming from the two HDDs is incredible and the fans arent spinning again!! Just like the first time the HDD's are screaming hot and the fans aren't working. So I let the computer sit for a while until they cool off. I start her up and she's fine again. The fans did come back this time though whew. I have the top off now and seemingly all is OK.

Now when I bought the case Thermaltake DH102 I saw that the hard drive's werent exactly in the best spot but I've seen worse.

Again the case doesn't have the best ventillation out there but it has been fine for the 6-8 months that Ive had it. The vent holes on the top are only over the back section of the case

and not over the HDD's an oversight I'm sure. Or they figured it's adequate maybe

Here's my piccadillo, The case has been fine for the 6-8 months I've owned it no overheating issues of any kind. The HDD's are pretty new so I don't think that theres a problem there although I have to find some software to check them out(suggestions anyone) . The only thing that has been changes is installing Windows 7. I don't think that this could be related at all, could I be wrong? I am planning on swapping out the drives in a bit but I don't have the time right now. I have to leave the top off as the HDD's are hot even now with the top off the case. I....I don't know. I'm tired and stuck on this guys please help.

    Specs:
    NEW - CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX
NEW - GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R (Great board BTW thanks Clocker again)
Vid Card SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850
    Ram G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB)
    HDD's Western Digital Caviar Black WD7501AALS 750GB X2
    E8400 OC'd to 3.6 now at 3.0

    You have a piccadillo?
    Male or female?

It's not Win 7- unless you haven't turned off Indexing and Auto Defrag...but even that shouldn't make such a big difference.
What OS were you running before?

Could you maybe move the HDD cage in front of the intake fan?

BTW...your Wolfie will probably run stock speed- and even 3.6GHZ- at way below "stock" voltage.
Try 1.1v and see what happens.

I was using a copy of VistaX64. Another thought was I just changed the ram as I had some in the WC rig that still sits there mocking me. Maybe that'll help?

In front of the intake fan is the touch screen I think I know what you mean though, I would have to rotate the cage 90 degrees and figure out how to mount it like that sturdily. I'm still puzzled as to how this problem of heat could be all of a sudden. Im also going to swap the HDD and use only 1 to see if it'll keep the heat down.

What software does anyone reccomend to check the HDD for problems? Should I just use windows?

it's for benchmarking, but i use it as a diagnosis tool, as everytime you see something really hawkward in the graph, you know there is a problem.
