Okay just got it today and installed not long ago.

Was very easy to install even for someone with 0 experience installing vga heatsinks.
Total was about 30 mins of work and that included eating my dinner at the same time.

Temps seem to be around 40c IDLE. Keep in mind there is no fan on this so it's 'silent', but there is a case fan right below it blowing air upwards into it.
With the stock cooler, at 75% fan speed, sounded like a jet engine and kept the card at around 52 IDLE.

So at idle i've cooled the card and have siilence for the ears.

I don't have any load tests yet. Don't have any from before either but I seem to remember it being in the mid to high 60s under load with the stock cooler.

This thing is pretty big but fit easily into my case. It just misses my hard drive, which could have been moved anyway , and sits about 1/4inch away from the case side panel.

I also bought another 2gb of ram bringing my total up to 4gb, though I only see 2800mb in windows because I haven't installed 64bit yet.

Oh ya something else worth noting is that the reviews and even artic cooling's own website seem to be a little out of date regarding the voltage reg heat spreader.
They say that the included heat spreader is for the ati x1950 only, and that other cards don't need any cooling for the voltage regulators.
Some reviews said that they worried about that and that you should put your own heatsinks.

But the latest s1 rev2's actually come with heatsinks for the voltage regulators instead of heat spreaders so that problem is solved.

BTW, my 8800gt didn't have any voltage reg cooling to begin with so it's just a bonus for me. Unless I put them on the wrong thing.

Unless your dinner was soup, you're not chewing your food thoroughly.

Nice to know it worked out well for you AND that it comes with heat sinks too.
What version of Windows are you using ATM Ross?

Ah see now thats ODD I hav ethe same OS running and it shows 4 gigs

I really like it too. I did find another small thing that I loved. as you can see this is my HTPC and I use Media Center and I noticed that they added a slide bar when you watch movies which is a plus as before you could only do a 3 sec jump in fw or reverse. So this is a huge plus IMO.

Mine says that too, but it's actually only running on 2800mb.

First is 32bit, second is 64bit which I just installed:

btw why am I getting a 2.9 all of a sudden in the Windows Experience Index?
Not that I care, it's a useless stat, but just wondering if something is wrong.
It's the hard drive that is listed as 2.9.
