The Fall (2008)- directed by Tarsem.

This film, a self-financed vanity project by the director, is remarkable for the stunning impact of the visuals...I've never seen anything like it except for bits of Tarsem's previous film, The Cell.

Initially, the plot seems to be secondary to the look but the performances of the two leads- especially the 6 year old Romanian girl, Catinca Untaru- are pitch perfect and totally engrossing.

Apparently, there is absolutely NO CGI work involved, which makes the visuals even harder to believe.

Watch this film...your eyes will thank you.
