ok ive been signed up here not long now and you know what really bothers me the most about this site ..

the fact that when you sign in you get plastered with a announcememnts about winning a wii and then you get again the same thing plastered on main news .

whats the point in plastering the announcements with main news stuff ????

im sure if somebody wanted to donate and enter it they would do .

There are public trackers out there that have adds plastered all over them if it is to hard for you to click the "click here to delete this announcement" or delete a mail.

Thanks, he sounds really annoyed about the spam, staff see a user with no posts then decide he's worthless, its a classic power trip scenario, he made his point, there was no need to ban him for that, i dont think it was excessively offensive in any way.

My first impressions of that site were, wow big ugly banner!! but if you like using the site then you get used to it, if not, theres so many other sites to choose from.

It's a simple matter of when a new announcement gets released and you happen to be on the frontpage, where the text is placed as well, only then and only until you remove the announcement...you see it twice.

Since the front page is certainly not the most used page of the site, and the announcement comes only 1x a week, it's simply not any bit of a big deal. Even moreso if you add the fact that with the exception of the news section, all messages come equipped with a link for easy deleting.

Those msg's are all we have to go on to keep Bitsoup online. The alternative would be giving in to all those eager advertisers that email me about weekly and want me to go decorate Bitsoup with flashy banners and other adverts of all the products and services they would like you to know, use and sign up for.

I'm sure some will disagree, but personally I much rather stick at sending out that 1 weekly message, and I much rather give away a Wii to 1 of you, then shafting all of you with having to look at the next "pay to watch boobs here" service every time you get here.
