This is not P2P related but a very usful tip.
Before you start, for any n00bs out there modifiying you registry can result in * up your PC. Do not try this unless you are confident you know what you are doing.

1. run regedit from the command prompt in windows.

2. navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Internet Settings.

3. Have a look in the right-hand window and see if there are two strings named MaxConnectionsPerServer and MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server. Double click on the strings to change the value. If they are not there go to step 5.

4. Change as follows
MaxConnectionsPerServer = 6
MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server = 8
[Finished]

5. If the strings are not there you will have to create them. Right-click in the right hand side of the window where all the strings are and select New>DWORD Value.

6. Enter MaxconnectionsPerServer as the string name and hit [Enter].
7. Do the same again but instead call the string name MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server.

8. Go to step 4.

Hope this makes sense. If in doubt ASK, I will gladly help.
If anyone wants me to explain how this speeds up I.E. I will write another post explaining. Defalt=4-4both

is this it i got it here.

Make your homepage "about:blank" (click the 'use blank' button). That is going to speed up the loading of Internet Explorer.

That will make it start faster when you first run it, but Shareholder's tip makes every page load faster.

BTW, you can also use a local html file stored on your hard drive as your home page, rather than a site on the net. That'll make it start faster, too.
