hi im using ntl 150k broadband modem (england) im jus wondering wat speed dl's people are getting i get a top speed of around 20kbs

im asking cos i see people moaning about only getting 300kbs ????? wat the hell connection do you have to get that id love it

basically does anyone know if the speed im getting is good or bad for the conn ive got

i get round 70Kb/s (i have 512k cable). u can get up2 2Mb connections which wud b bout 250k?

I usually get 300-500KB/s with 576/288Kbps ADSL. I tweaked my connection though with the aid of http://www.speedguide.net.

20 is about right for your connection. It's 8 bits to a byte so just take the 150 and divide by 8 and that should be your maximum.

When i first got my adsl i had around 155 kbps, then it dropped to 145 kbps, and thats where it stays around now. i get about 192 kb upload :/ which is like 15-16 kbps.
On my download if i sources are good i get about 95-110 kbps on movie downloads. i dont download games on kazaa cause there mostly virus infected.
Movies are usually renamed and that all i have to worry about. That or blank.

depends on what your downloading and where from.
If you have NEVER seen over 20kb/s.. Like EVER on anything.. Then it might be an incorrect setting..hardware setup.. or firewall conflict.
