Also using Avant Browser. Very fast, blocks pop-ups, easy to configure and multilingual.
As a back-up I use Mozilla Firebird.

How good is Opera really? I didn't have a good first experience with it. Though that may be because of the ad-supported version. Is there really a difference between the ad-supported version and the retail version?
People with slower connections (56k) seem to have a better experience with Opera. For me pages load 2-5x faster with Opera than IE.
Ok I just downloaded Opera a while ago and cracked it. I'm using it right now and this thing is blazin' and I'm on a cable modem. Can tell which is faster though Opera or Mozilla Firebird.
if your on a cable modem probably wont see too much difference in speed...they're both blistering

never heard of mozilla firebird.., i've used mozilla, but not that.
signature removed, check the boardrules.
Mozilla Firebird is the browser-only version of Mozilla. They're supposed to be breaking up the entire Mozilla suite and just going with the individual components (Firebird for the browser, Thunderbird for the mail & news client).
That being said, I'm using the full Mozilla suite until then.
is there an extension for firebird that'll give you the magic wand like in opera?
