Earlier someone mentioned that a user with numbers at the end of their screen name is a bot putting out fake files (bs) but i've been doing some research, before you download a file a thing to do is search a users files. Now I know there are some legit users with fake files, but i noticed this odd pattern
I scanned 5 users files. They were identical, over 800 songs, maybe 100 movies. I was like wth? I figured it out these were bots, i downloaded one of the movies, a blank screen for 2 hours, i downloaded one the songs they were all scratched.
How can you tell if something your downloading is a fake?
Well I browsed the person's files and they had like 19 version's of the same songs. And the files loaded in the same order everytime, it had a list of a few movies like swat. Then it was followed by some artist the first one to come up was a band called cold. I sorted their files they had like 100 50 cent songs, like 10 of the same song, and each one was fake. The Riaa didn't do that good of a job hiding their bots. They don't have girlie names like riaabot or stevie20. they had simple names we would use. MadKilla203, and one was phucktheriaaubitz or something like that. They think their smart, i encourage you to not let fake files discourage you as well as a n00b. Keep sharing and remain confident. In God We Trust, In p2p we believe
This was on kazaa, so other programs that aren't on fast trak, you may not need these procautions, but kazaa still has the most users, even though i must admit it has decreased although there's sitll 6,000,000 are still being shared during the peak time of day (4-7 o'clock)
So remember a good idea is just to scan the files of the person you download from, or look for it to say, made by realjukebox or some other program
