With shock, I have to write that John has passed away! Just days before his 55th Birthday. It happened on the set of 8 Simple Rules. The cause of death was a dissection of the aorta, the result of an unrecognized flaw in his heart. John died at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank CA. shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday Sept. 11th, 2003. At the hospital, John had his wife Amy Yasbeck & 23 year old son Jason by his side. He was also accompanied by producers and co-workers who all thought the world of John. My condolences to his family. John's three other children, Carly, Tyler and Stella, his Mom and brother Tom.
