hey being a longtime user of limewire and hearing everyone here bash it i decided to give soulseek a try, i don't get it though, what makes it so great?

im getting like 24kBps when i limewire i get around 300, not to mention i need to browse through different "rooms" and then search only within the room.

am i missing something here, im sure this is a great program im probably doing something wrong, err...

ah nevermind, i wasnt using the general search, i was going room to room.

i also suppose losing some speed isn't so bad. im sure these files are all better quality anyway....

a search of bob marley had so many results it crashed my PC rofl

hmm how come some of the songs are "grey" and says they are remotely queued, what does that mean exactly?

You don't use SoulSeek for obtaining mainstream music fast. It's old-school peer-to-peer so there is no multisourcing, if someone already uploads files then the result is gray and you have to wait until this peer has some free slots for you to download. The real advantage of slsknet is the availability of all kinds of music.

only downside of Slsk is when people mislabel mixes/remixes.

Limewire usually only has crappy quality 128 files. I suspect they're from the Napster days. There are a lot of viruses and your shared folder is constantly scanned by anti-P2P orgs. It is a crap program. It can be pretty fast, sometimes.

Wholly blustered blue balls Batman , who would of thunk Limewire bites ? I still use Frostwire and that's not much better sadly .

I can't find a good site for just singles so just use SoulSeek and Frostwire .

Some cracker in NoPE actually bought it.

    LimeWire Pro v5 0 11 Retail-NoPE

The whole Gnutella network is a piece of shit. Even public trackers are safer than it.
