I think is Foobar
Songbird is also pretty good
VLC- best
I use VLC but that's cause I'm way too lazy to get a program to listen to my bootlegs with, and I couldn't care less about the minute sound difference in the first place. Easier just to transcode them to v0mp3 with dbpoweramp and dump them on my iPod.
VLC used to be around the curve. But nowadays other media players have caught up and then some.
The only use it still has for me is viewing ISO and IMG files.
VLC is designed with video and versatility in mind. Audio, in my experience, is sub par unless I boost the priority of VLC to high, and who wants to do that?
VLC is an good player overall but when it is compared to something like the newly overhauled Winamp or Foobar2K and a good codec pack, it just doesn't match up.
