    i don't keep much in the way of personal info on my PC anyways. I've heard rumours/stories (might not be anything more than that) of people getting refurbished drives and there is a lot of data easily restored from them.

    i guess even if that's true the chances of it happening to you are slim to none anyways.

    that's why you dont just reformat the hdd you have to "erase" it. and by that I mean writing the hdd with all 0s and 1's.

    ppl are inconsiderate when it comes to personal data and do little to protect them
