Thread: Windows Sounds

    when i first bought my computer it made the regular startup sound when computers start up and it also made the same sound when i shutdown.but recently i have noticed that it doesn't make any type of sound at all.whats wrong

    for xp:

    control panel>sounds and audio devices>sounds

    then just pick the "program event" to set the correct sound

    Or for simplified ease:

    control panel>sounds and audio devices>change the sound scheme

    You will see a drop down bar near the top of the box. Drop it down and select "windows default". Apply.

    All defaults sounds should be restored.
