Fixing Damaged Files

I have been using the kazaa file fixing prog i found elsewhere in this forum which is pretty damn good

but i dont know how/wat prog to use to scan for bad parts in an mpeg2(svcd) film i have downloaded i know there r a couple of faults but id like 2 fix em b4 burning them
ive tried a load of progs but they either wont load it or wont do anything if it does

does anyone know of a program i can use to help me scan for faults
