Thread: Faster?

  1. #1
which of these 2 video cd format encorders do you guys think is better

    TMPGEnc
    or
    VCDeasy

many of my friends recommand vcdeasy, but i have been using TMPGEnc for a long time that, i just realise that actually it's really taking such a 'long' time

or do you guys here recommand any other encoders which work faster? in encoding to VCD format

    Thanks

I don't think "faster" exists in this context. Encoding is slow work. I have found that TMPGEnc plus is a whole lot faster than basic though.

What balamm said. Also, VCDeasy isn't a video encoder. It just burns encoded (S)VCD's, doesn't encode them.

ppl say main concept is faster, it is but poorer quailty than tmpgenc and 50% better than letting nero do it
I'v been doing kvcd and its the 5hit I can put a full movie at dvd quailty on1 80min cdr
lots more steps than just a regualer vcd/svcd but dame dude
with kvcd mpeg1 I can get better quailty than mpeg2(svcd)!

if your lazy (are just don't get all the steps) don't worrie
try acp had a few problems with dvd ripping, but so far avi to kvcd is looking good
    even has file prediction
    check it out
    http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2021
when you load it and run it
1.direct it to tmpgenc(need it get it here)
fide a very good rip (avi,x-vid,divx, ect) should be a dvd rip
    hit start

Like ballam said with encoding speed has nothing really to do with what program or anything like that..its all done by the cpu from the process of the encoidng job..like if resizing, changing aspect ratios, filters and the quailty..so if your doing the exact same job with to different encoders generally the longest should be the better.
