I recently burned a lot of my home footage to DVD and wanted to be able to edit them in Premiere. What's the best DVD ripping software for extracting specific sections of a DVD? I did a search and didn't find anything, thanks

I use Galaxy vcd
which uses
Dvd decrypter to rip the dvds
then uses DVD2AVI to convert to avi - it allows you to select sections or parts of the movie as in premiere.
Only problem is it seperates the .wav and .avi which you join using another program - i use virtualDub
