I was woundering how you save all the information that you have on this OS. I downlaoded firebird web browser for it, then booted up windows, then switch back and it was gone. Same with my internet connection setting

DSL(Damn Small Linux) is a linux OS that boots from a cd. The thing is that i dont know how to save the information that i have in it while i am on it. Becuase when i reboot all of it gets erased. I downloaded firebird web browser and when i rebooted it was erased. I dont want to download it each time i start it up. What i want to know is how to store all the information on the hard drive, do i make a seporite partition?

Also since its based on knoppix you may want to check knoppix docs on their site to see what they say.
