These FBI messages probably come from Mulder while he's downloading some alien porn and polishing his knob.

Thanks for spamming the forum... although... great humor, needed another laugh.
The only way you'll ever get hit with one of those messages if you don't update your RIAA IP blocker DAILY.
They IP updates don't come from the author, they come from PeerGuardian, which updates frequently. So checking for updates daily wouldn't hurt.
It only takes a second to update, and thats a second well spent... since you'll be in jail for millions more than it takes to click
.
Other precautions you want to take:
LIMIT YOUR DOWNLOADS TO A MAXIUM OF 2 RUNNING AT ONCE!
Besides the obvious reasons for not running more downloads (bandwidth, etc),
You'll be able to distinguish IPs better if only downloading one or two files from a bunch of sources.
Run netstat continuously throughout the download (use the command parameter -a i think...).
Make sure no new IPs add on to your queue after 5 minutes of downloading.
The system they have set up logs your IP for 5 minutes, making sure that what youre downloading or uploading is illegal to share, then it might send you that stupid message.
Why not wait till theyre done downloading you might ask?
Simple: you could set up a feature that shuts down kazaa after downloads have completed, giving them no time to scan your files.
And also for a legal matter on their end:
Searching your hard drive after you have completed a data transfer is a felony.
Searching it while youre downloading from them, isn't.
To put this in a real life perspective, say you trespass onto someones property, they have the right to call the police.
BUT if youre just standing on the sidewalk, it's intent, which they have no rights to call the police.
If they were to search you after downloading, you could get them for invasion of privacy with intent.
They would have to settle the case, and you could optionally serve half the sentence, come out, and be able to download as many files as you want.
Double jeopardy rocks!
