blowing into NES games

nothing new to me i've blown alot of things in my time......

but since when did blowing into NES games become the universal standard for frustration? did we honestly think that blowing would somehow magically repair the game?

ps...there is no marriage forum. i suppose the lounge does come quite close though

Years ago a guy I know put aftershave or something (i assume had alcohol in it) on a Q-Tip and cleaned my Mario game. It worked great after that. Sometimes I'd lick them. Now I can just click on my desktop to play them. lol

I remember blowing into NES cartridges, but I don't think it is the universal/generational icon of frustration. It sure did work though.
