For some reason, my brand new mpg playing dvd player wont play vcd/kvcd, but my old one does almost any format perfectly (not mpg though...) Go figure

strange could try rewriting the header, shot in the dark but it might trick it into reading it, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/40078

I just dl'ed it and acp downloaded fine and installed fine so try downloading it to your computer then opening it
@x_gimpg
didn't see any pal settings, and I have never made a pal video
so I'm sorry
you could follow the second guide or maybe ask @ kvcd.net forums

muchspl2 or anybody else how has worked out this whole Kvcd process.
I have read thru the whole thread..
I just processed an avi thru ACP
and in the destination folder i find the following;
log.txt
video.avs
audio.jobs
audio.log
test.avs
video.tpr
bbmpeg.ini
video00.mpg
Do i Only put the Mpg file in Nero?
or do i need to add some of the other files?
(after unchecking vcd compliant)??
I question this because muchspl2 was talking about burning a NRG file which i dont seem to have? or did i miss something
any advice appreciated

right, just the Mpeg
the "video00.Mpeg" file
the nrg file was a test disc encase your dvd player was not on the compatibly list
