Any one know why when trying to connect coming up with wrong password or username never had this problem before.

Did you donate for it. The new version has a user name and password protection and it will accept the forum user name an password at altbinz.net but you have to have donated at least $15 euros for it.

I don't think there is a cracked version out.

I assume that you mean that altbinz version 0.30 accepted your login details previously, but not any more?

I don't know how Altbinz's keys are verified, but I'm guessing that Alt.binz might need to connect to the registration server every single time before the application will work. So if the server is down, or unreachable for any reason -- Altbinz remains locked and won't work.

    That's just a guess.

Edonkey (originally) used to have a server-verification system that pissed-off a lot of users, since whenever the verification server went down no one could use the software they paid for, and many people who bought legal copies were forced to use cracks.

What features are in .30 that make it superior to .25? Anything really special? I saw it posted to a.b.warez last night and thought about upgrading.

Authentication removed from 0.30.0 by iND, so you just load it up and download.

It still sucks, won't run on Windows 7, ESET NOD32 detects trojan, the VBScript is fucked.

No, I think it's junk, but that's my opinion, after all it's based on a buggy NewsLeecher Beta, I've only used the "free" version, and a couple of the shitty cracked version, it downloaded fine, but on my Vista rig, it would "constantly" freeze and halt my system (hard re-boot/shutdown), and this was with the free version and cracked version.
