i think it's all a little tongue in cheek, but if you listen to the album, it's good overall. some good songs, and nearly all of them are catchy.

The song Givin' up is hilarious if you listen to the words! I swear the guitar out of it sounds like a kids programme

the guitarist from the band is very tallented, he makes "tuneful" guitar solos and does some nice riffs. His guitaring style is very much old-school. I am not saying I am a fan of the band, but can see tallent.

Spinal tap = Uriah Heep and a few other bands of the time. The exploding drummer was based on Gary Thane, bass player, who while investigating a sound problem, decided to pick up a live cable on stage and pretty much "blew up".

I have a friend who absolutely loves them. Justin the singer is pretty hot, and definitely plays it up to the ladies when on stage. I reckon they have their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks at all times. I downloaded a few of their tunes but they didn't grab me. My mate says they're an acquired taste and you really need to see them live to appreciate them.
