It might not be a software problem, it might be a hardware one (possibly overheating or over-clocked(have you checked the BIOS of the motherboard to make sure that the CPU's speed is set at the correct speed?))

Try removing the cover from your case for an hour or two whilst your running the PC and see if that help's (if it's safe to do so, as if you've got any speaker's or over item's that could give off static then they could cause more problem's so make sure the PC's away from anything like that before doing it, and also make sure there's no kid's or animal's around that might be tempted to put their finger's/paw's inside the PC whilst it's on!&#33, if it does help and your PC keep's running past the 30 minute mark then it's more than likely a heating problem and you need more cooling for it.

If it's not that then you may just have a loose wire or card in there that need's removing and re-inserting to make sure it's securely slotted in properly.

And, if all else fail's then i'd say the same as everyone else, try doing a system repair and see if that help's and if it doesn't then go for a reformat to start fresh with a clean HD and system :-)

    Cygnus-Y,

It might be interesting to know how old your current install is and what programs are running as your PC freezes.
Have you any sort of RAM monitor?
Could you be suffering from a horrible and ultimately fatal memory leak?

If poor memory management is your root problem ( and Kazaa/K-Lite are prone to memory leaks) then a format/install will not help.
