Surely the greed made them (the jacksons) go mainstream, after the death of Disco they could have made less commercial R n' B, i think he would have had more quality hits that way.

The reasons are academic. He made shite records which were basically no more than soundtracks for music videos. Maybe he could have made better music, I don't know. I can only base it on what he did make.

most pop music is targeted towards pre-pubescent children and teenage girls who can't help but like pop and are almost forced to listen to it by TV, Radio, simon cowel LTD, advertising, film etc.

Back in the good old 80's I listened to pop music as a child, and i think i understand the business now, but then it was just songs and video's on top of the pops and chart shows on the radio, that was normal music to me.
